In short order in 2006, Jerry received a merit promotion as a Grade III Attorney allowing him to handle the most serious felony cases as lead attorney. In his career as an assistant public defender, Jerry developed a reputation as a hard-working and zealous yet professional advocate in the Traffic, First Municipal, Forensic Science, Juvenile Justice, and Maywood Felony Trial Divisions.

Jerry Barrido has been unanimously found “Qualified” or “Recommended” as Associate Judge or Circuit Court Judge by all reviewing bar associations.
